Khao Yai has dozens of properties calling themselves pool villas, but only a handful combine a genuinely private pool with the space, design and service you would expect from a luxury stay. This guide compares the luxury pool villas we have verified, villa by villa, so you can see quickly which one fits your trip.
We have not stayed at every property listed and we do not publish ratings or rates. Everything below comes from each property’s official information, checked at the time of writing. For background on the region and how pool villas work here, start with our complete pool villa resort guide.

InterContinental Khao Yai Resort
Address: 262 Moo 6, Pong Talong, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima 30450 · Official website
The InterContinental is the most distinctive resort in the region. Designer Bill Bensley built it around Thailand’s railway history, and many of the suites and villas sit inside restored railway carriages. The pool villa options are the Heritage Railcar 1 Bedroom Pool Villa and the larger Heritage Railcar 2 Bedroom Pool Villa, listed at about 223 square metres. There are also Premium Pool Lake View rooms and a 1 Bedroom Pool Suite with private plunge pools, which cost less than a full villa but still give you a pool of your own.
Facilities: Somying’s Kitchen, Poirot (a French restaurant in a railcar), Papillon jazz bar, the Tea Carriage and Terminus Bar, plus the Back on Track spa and a main resort pool. Children’s activities include guided garden tours and a treasure hunt.
Consider it if: you want a characterful, full-service resort and are happy to be in quieter Pong Talong rather than right beside the park gate.
sala khaoyai

The three-bedroom sala Signature Villa One has a private rooftop pool and sleeps up to six. There is also a resort infinity pool.
Facilities: sala Hilltop Restaurant with panoramic views and a wine list, in-villa dining through its Farm to Villa programme, in-room massage, and event and wedding hosting.
Consider it if: you are a couple who wants views and privacy, or a small group that can fill the Signature Villa. The onsen villas are a particular draw in the cool season, when evening temperatures drop.
MUTHI MAYA Forest Pool Villa Resort
Location: Mu Si, on Road 3052 beside Kirimaya · Official website (Kirimaya collection)
MUTHI MAYA is part of the Kirimaya collection and is an all-pool-villa resort: every villa has its own private pool. The group’s information mentions butler service and private terrace barbecues prepared by the kitchen. Guests can reach the group’s golf course and Maya Spa at neighbouring Kirimaya.
